About Melissa

Hello!  My name is Melissa Wrin.  I call myself a recovering dietitian.  Let me explain. I am a Registered Dietitian, in my 40’s, and I spent nearly 20 years in the medical field.  I believed fat was bad. I taught thousands on clients a low fat, low sodium diet. The problem? I spent nearly all those years struggling with my own weight.  At one point, I was sixty pounds overweight. Yes, you read that correctly. Imagine the comments an overweight dietitian hears. The problem? I followed my own advice to eat a diet rich in carbs, moderate in protein, and low in fat.  Yet I still struggled. In 2015 I stumbled across a podcast about a high fat, low carb eating style. I wasn’t sold immediately, but it peaked my curiosity. A few months later I decided to try this way of eating for a week. The results?  I couldn’t believe that it was possible to first of all feel full and secondly not think about food ALL day. Those aha moments led me to walking away from an 18 year career later that year and in 2017 the dream was born to focus my efforts on helping other women become healthier through the Keto lifestyle.  What I have learned in the past year is that women need community, we need support and accountability, but we also need to love ourselves to succeed. Soul Fit Keto focuses on loving God, loving others, and loving ourselves. Together we learn how to begin the Keto lifestyle, with a twist. Daily devotions, inspiring videos, recipes, meal plans, and a guidebook are all part of the course.  Join the course that is changing women’s lives and their health.

Melissa Wrin lives in Fishers, Indiana with her husband and kids.  She became a Registered Dietitian in 1997 and spent 18 years in the hospital setting.  She left her clinical career to pursue coaching full time. Through bumps and bruises along the entrepreneurial path, Melissa rediscovered the Ketogenic way of eating.  She now calls herself a recovering dietitian. Once convinced that fat was the cause of many diseases, she now understands the role sugar has played in obesity levels and disease rates skyrocketing.

Melissa offers monthly online Keto courses, helping women learn how to eat fat to lose fat.
